Quality Conservation Services, Inc. (QCS), headquartered in Oak Ridge, New Jersey is a national leader in the energy conservation industry and has developed site improvements and energy efficient projects for customers in education, healthcare, government, and business sectors. QCS is a leader in all of the markets that it serves, with a unique blend of national reach with local market knowledge. The company was officially formed in 1997 as the offspring of an existing Energy Services Company (ESCO) by industry veterans and Demand Side Management (DSM) professionals providing technical and administrative expertise for utility DSM programs.

James P. MaitilassoFounder and President, James P. Maitilasso, has more than 25 years experience in the energy services industry and is known for his innovative and entrepreneurial spirit throughout the energy services community. Several key QCS team members have worked together since the early 1990's in numerous utility-sponsored DSM projects throughout the United States.

As a residential and commercial energy efficiency contractor both independently and authorized by major utility companies across the country, QCS has successfully designed, financed, installed, operated and maintained conservation, weatherization and lighting programs nationally.

The QCS team has combined their experience and expertise to create a comprehensive and cost-effective approach to development and implementation of major conservation and energy reduction programs in the residential, low-income, non-profit, small commercial and large commercial/industrial sectors.

As the largest and most experienced provider of energy services to the multi-family residential market, QCS has provided close to 4 million individual energy efficiency improvement measures to more than 185,000 single and multi-family residences since inception.  In addition, QCS has delivered over 150,000 commercial improvement measures to approximately 6,500 small commercial, large industrial and high-profile projects throughout New York, New Jersey, Maine, Virginia, Oregon, California, Massachusetts, Texas, Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina and Washington D.C.

Year after year, Quality Conservation Services has grown in scope, services and reputation. Our diversified service offerings, extensive footprint and market leadership, have us well positioned to meet future market changes and challenges.

In addition to standard small and large residential projects and customers such as multi-family common areas, QCS has experience in atypical projects that demand specialized equipment and lighting designs. Churches, community and youth centers, schools and educational facilities, nursing and health care facilities, grocery distributions centers, and modular buildings are included in our extensive list of satisfied clients.

QCS also has extensive independent work activity in the commercial sector, primarily in the field of energy control systems and energy efficient lighting. Past clients have included: Manulife, a Class A Professional Office Building in Washington, D.C., as well as several Class A hotel chains in New England, the Mid-Atlantic area, and California. Additionally, QCS has performed energy service related consulting, evaluation and other energy efficiency services for a significant number of clients directly including: The International Brotherhood of Electrician’s Union, The City of Macon, Georgia, and The New Jersey DOT. Small, privately owned and operated businesses, larger retail and commercial businesses, managed multi-unit dwellings and high-end co-op buildings as well as very large commercial/industrial and high-profile establishments have all benefited from QCS’ experience.
